True. Maybe one day we will manage to offload it from the body, but I think it will never work perfectly the same since your body affects your brain in so many ways. Like, if you're fit your brain works faster and better.

I'm not very fit, but if my brain worked any faster or better, I really couldn't bear it :)
Honestly, though, old and run-down as I am, my brain is ridiculously capable. I do see your point, though, and it's generally true.

IQ plays the biggest role ofcourse but if someone wanted to make their own brain work faster that person should try exercise.
