I'm hoping that the extended edition fixes the gaps. (And please, no more Tauriel) Durin's Day is based on the moon, so there's no specific date. I'd love some cupcakes!

ya taurial was pretty bad, and bilbo was barely in it, and thorins death was kind of stupid, and bard drove a wagon over his children, and what was up with the rainbow in the background the whole time, and legolas jumped up the bricks of a falling bridge, and i could go on but i won't. ):
it's such a shame they had to stretch the movies like that...like butter scraped over too much bread.

Yeah. More short little guys, less try-too-hard fight moments.

When you get to my age, you've seen every possible variation on the action/adventure/fantasy movie.
The only thing new is the sheer number of unlikely events that get included with each new iteration.

Well, I'll enjoy the lack of knowledge for now and watch the movies I can.

Omg omg omg BOTFA was so great! There was no additional Tauriel, there was a scene with an Orc in Dol Guldur who attacks Gandalf and tries to steal his Ring of Power, then Galadriel comes in and is even more badass. Bofur (mi favorito) climbs onto this troll, grabs it by the reins, steers it into the Orc army and fights another big troll. Then Balin, Dwalin, Fili, Kili, and Thorin are on a ram-driven carriage, and Balin shoots arrows with a machine gun-like firing machine thing and he says "I'm too old for this" a la Danny Glover.

And also, Lord Dain says the long awaited dwarf battle cry "Baruk Khazad! Khazad ai-menu!" Also, Bofur, Bifur, and Bombur are attacking this pale Orc, when Bifur headbutts it. Bifur's axe fragment actually gets stuck in the Orc's head, then eventually they pull it out from his head, and Bifur can talk again! He takes the axe fragment and tells Bombur, "You know where you can stick it!"

Of all the dumb movies going, I guess Groundhog Day is one of my all-time favorites.

Groundhog day is a great movie, I have to say I love The Mask, and if you are interested in a newer movie Mr. Nobody is in netflix and it is quite enjoyable, as long as you can see the big picture of it

Really it's a bit zany but I wouldn't ever think it was that bad, granted when you delve into the world of anime you find that what you consider odd becomes.... warped
