Help I'm falling in Love with an INFP

Just looking for guidance on dating an INFP and how they process relationships and get so hot and cold, it feels like mixed signals.

And - how do I know if he's falling for me? Or if he's just trying to appease me? I know he's a people pleaser so I sometimes wonder if he sees me out of obligation or because he wants to? He's also more open when he drinks, but I hear that isn't uncommon.

Hm, I'm not sure exactly what to tell you, given that I have little to no relationship experience. I do wish you luck, and I'll tell you if I think of something. Hang in there!

Infp men. Interesting, I don't think I've ever met one.

I've read that infps in relationships can be that hot/cold type. I've never experienced that at all (being the infp). Unless I'm super unaware of how I come across (I think not), I'm pretty much never cold if I like you.

I may need time to process, but I'd be open about that.. Like "hey, just thinking about stuff. Not ignoring you.."

In general, I find myself to strive to be honest, always. And I feel safe and comfortable when around honest people.
I also seem to know when someone is hiding something from me - particularly if it has anything to do with me..

Friendly speculation... :). He'd probably most appreciate if you were honest with him. Share your confusion about the mixed messages. If he just needs time to process, it's important that you two find a system where you'll know that that is the case. Being hurt by the coldness can be totally avoided then.

If its all said in a gentle, non pressured way... I'm sure it will make things better.

Good luck!:)
