I have a question about enneagram and wings?

Post by Lsjnzy13 » Mon Nov 23, 2015 12:00 am

I did the enneagram test and got type 2, later went onto some enneagram forums and people are talking about how they are 2w1 or 2w3 etc. My enneagram test told me that I'm a type 2 followed by type 4 and 9. So how come there are no such things as 2w4 or 2w9? Do the numbers have to be next to each other or something?

I'm nowhere close to a type 1 or type 3 so does that mean I have no wing? :?:

I have two wings. This is good. If I didn't, I'd fly around in circles.
Don't be too concerned about this stuff: you are what you are. The trick being to find out what you are, preferably by yourself.
Nobody knows what you are, and mostly, don't even know what they are, either.
Welcome, BTW (:>

Wings are the two types nearest to your actual core type. People are usually influenced by both nearest types, but one is often more influential than the other. For enneagram type 2 the wings are 3 or 1, 2 stands in the middle of those numbers so is influenced by both of them. It's up to you to decide whether you feel more influenced by 1 or by 3 by looking up their descriptions and see which one fits more.
