What is your Enneagram type?

Post by FiNe SiTe » Fri Dec 10, 2010 6:43 am

I only want people posting their Enneagram type if they're "70%" sure.
Also if you got your results from a test they're probably wrong. DON'T TRUST TESTS!
Here's a good website to find out which type you are: http://www.ocean-moonshine.net/e142857369/

So what is your Enneagram Type?

I'm a 6w5.

I'm also a 6w5. How do you find your enneagram type and your MBTI type correlate?

I used to think I was a Two, mostly because I idealized the qualities that a Two embodied at their best. I had a hard time seeing a Two's unhealthy states reflected in me, but the description did say that they were very self-deceiving (touché). After reading up on the enneagram, and a very insightful post on infpgc, I realized I was actually probably a Nine.

Pretty good.
MBTI explains my good qualities and Enneagram explains my bad qualities.
But of course there's good and bad qualities in each personality description.

I'm very much a four, with a sprinkling of five, and some nine tossed in for good measure.

9w1

Someone defined it as a "procrastinating perfectionist", which sums up my general disposition rather well (obviously I can't speak for other 9w1s, though).

Is there any other type of perfectionist? The two always come together, in my experience.

Perhaps...the only counterexample I can think of is my mom, who is a perfectionist (and I've never witnessed her procrastinating a single day in her life...although who am I to say what goes on that isn't so evident). In the end, I think we probably all procrastinate to same degree or another, just some more than others. ;)

Non-procrastinating perfectionists become great, famous or incredibly rich.

Heh, kind of like how good things come to people with OCD who fixate.

Bill Gates? Isaac Newton? Nikola Tesla?

Well, Bill Gates wasn't too much of a perfectionist but you do have to be a little perfectionist do make great (or perfect) things.
