What have you learned today?

Post by BabyDragon » Tue Dec 07, 2010 2:12 pm

Today I learned that calcium (the carbonate form) can be useful for treating my IBS diarrhea because the carbonate form is not absorbed very well by our intestines so it ends up in the colon and forms a gel with any excess fluid which makes your stool harder and more bulky. And here http://www.howtocureibs.info/ I learned that psyllium husk can be very helpful too. So far I've used probiotics which are good, and peppermint oil which I stumbled across on a forum.

How about you? What have you learned today?

I learned that legs play an important role in our unconscious communication towards each other.
...and that they can display whether we are dominant or submissive.

I have learnt that it is not safe to eat while reading this forum, obviously.

Heh.

All of my friends got used to talking about stools, so much that I didn't realize some people are disgusted by it.

I learned today that I still can't get over being scared like hell when I have a presentation and skipping it, because of my stupid social anxiety that won't go away. :(
Life is a comedy to those who think and a tragedy to those who feel.

:D What happened?

I learned yesterday that the yellow thing inside a Kinder Surprise is actually the egg yolk. Image

After seeing this:

I mean if someone asked me I would have said it's the egg yolk but I just haven't thought about it in that way until yesterday. I always kind of skipped that part in favor of "WHAT IS INSIDE, WHAT DID I GET??"

I can be incredibly stupid sometimes.

About the eggs: I didn't think about it before. I have to say, the idea is pretty disgusting too actually. Maybe I simply didn't want to think about it.

Today I learned that Mark Zuckerberg has the same (red-green) color blindness as me.

And that intelligence is completely nature (no nurture at all), from a study on identical twins raised in different families. They had the same intelligence no matter where they were raised.

Yesterday I learned that caffeine should not be taken at 9pm. Worst night of my life, I couldn't go to sleep until 4 in the morning. Sweating, rolling over, thinking, thinking, all these thoughts, GTFO OF MY HEAD!!!! I want to sleeeeep :(

I learned that people can get angry to us, even when we have no correlation to their problem.
